Because veg always goes ‘off’ quickly in the summer, we buy lots of frozen veg. It doesn’t taste the same a lot of the time, but it stays packed with nutrients. You can buy frozen peppers, mushrooms, sweetcorn as well as all the usual, such as carrots etc. Then you can always whip up something healthy if you always have the veg in!

This is a great tip! And I find that keeping in frozen onions/mushrooms/peppers perfect for knocking up quick, syn free pasta dishes – or for adding more superfree to Bachelors Pasta Packets! :eating-spaghettis-18:
I think also, you should always have dried foods, such as rice, pasta, savoury rice, lentils, broth mix etc. Tinned tomatoes are a must, too. If you have all of the above, as well as the frozen stuff, you can cook something different each day.
