Fakeaway Kebab
Ingredients:
500g/1lb lamb lean mince
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried Thyme
1/2 teaspoon onion powder (or 1 small finely chopped Onion)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 teaspoon minced/crushed Garlic)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Method:
Put everything in a large bowl and knead until it has no air pockets
Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place on a fine wire rack
Put a pre-heated oven for 1 hour:
Fan assisted: 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4
Normal: 170C/325F/Gas Mark 3
Once cooked, carve/shave (like you’d get from the kebab shop) and serve in a wholemeal pitta bread (HEB or 4 Syns) with salad.
