Syn-Free Cream Soda Rice Pudding
Ingredients:
3oz Pudding Rice
500ml Diet/No Added Sugar Cream Soda
1 tbsp Splenda (or to taste)
Method:
Put the rice and cream soda in a pan and bring to the boil.
Simmer until liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat, stir in the Splenda and leave to cool.
Stir in an optional Mullerlight vanilla yoghurt, dust with cinnamon or nutmeg and serve.
Serves: 4
Syn Value (Per Serving): Free (but 'tweaked')
Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-30 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Yummy! I’ve just bought some pudding rice so definitely going to try this 🙂
I’ve read somewhere that adding the yoghurt spoils this @princess, so I haven’t tried that. However, the dish without the yoghurt is very nice.
The only ‘tweak’ is the tablespoon of sweetener which you have to ‘syn’ as that much, anything a tbsp and over, is deemed too sweet and encouraging bad habits…..Just cut that back….Although the Syn value isn’t high I believe…. And I’d use a couple of dessert spoons of Onken fat free fruit yogurt and Syn it as Muller Light is horrible!
